Robert "Rob" Anderson

Robert "Rob" W. Anderson, 40, of Orion, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 13, 2011 at Trinity Rock Island.
Mass of Christian burial will be 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Mary Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Orion. A liturgy service will begin at 3:00 p.m. followed by the visitation from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2011 at the church. Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established for Rob's children.
Rob was born on March 15, 1971 in Moline the son of Larry and Kathy Cook Anderson. He married Amanda "Mandy" Fair on August 13, 1994 at Mary Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Orion.
Rob graduated Orion High School in 1989 and Blackhawk College in 1991. Rob began his career at the Orion IGA as a co-op student, and later worked at Alexis Fire Equipment.
Rob was a member of Mary Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church; the Orion Sportsman's Club and was a volunteer fire fighter with the Orion Fire Department for over 20 years. Rob loved spending time with his children and family. He spent many hours coaching whichever sport they were involved in at that time. He also enjoyed being outdoors; fishing, hunting and trapping.

Rob was preceded in death by his grandparents; Bob & Rosalie Anderson and his best fishing buddy Grandpa Bill Cook.
