Robert "Bob" E. Chalder, 71 of Moline passed away June 4, 2008 at his residence.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., June 7th, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Moline. Memorials may be made to his church, St. Mary's.
Bob was born on October 13, 1936 in Dubuque, IA the son of Frank and Ethel Burke Chalder. He married Pat Creen on April 23, 1966 in Moline.
Bob was employed as a set up welder for Williams White for 37 years retiring in 2002. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Moline. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, bike riding, traveling, sports especially the Cubs and Bears and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife Pat, son and daughter-in-law Jay and Brenda Chalder of Milan, and daughter and son-in-law Shelly and Steven Volk of Moline; grandchildren Chris and Stephanie Chalder, Jessica Loving, Jason and Allie Chalder, Cody Loving, Madeline Volk and Emma Volk; great-grandchildren Lynley, Carter and Keaton; and sisters Rita Lerschen, Betty Lerschen, Joanne Lopez, and Mary Jo Staton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother James.
