Robert Lee Ferry, Sr., age 79, of East Moline, died Saturday, January 31, 2009 at his home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday with a Masonic Service at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Blackhawk Shrine for Crippled Children.
Robert was born January 31, 1930 in Moline, the son of William and Irene (Miller) Ferry. He married Patricia Swanson on October 21, 1950 at Watertown Baptist Church.
Robert was employed as a pipe fitter for the Rock Island Lines for 14 ? years, and then for International Harvester for 25 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Silvis Masonic Lodge #898 for over 47 years, Blackhawk Shrine of the Mohassan Grotto, Mohammed Shrine Temple of Peoria, Scottish Rite Valley of Moline, a 32nd degree Mason, member of the Moline Vikings, East End Club and the Croatian Crest Club.
