Robert W. Hellberg, Jr., 54 of Andover, IL passed away November 26, 2008 at St. Anthony's Nursing and Rehab Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 29th at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd, 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Cremation rites will be accorded following the service. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a fund to be established for his children.
Robert was born on June 3, 1954 in Bloomington, IL the son of Robert and Virginia Johnson Hellberg, Sr. He married Gail Peterson on September 12, 1992 in Moline.
Robert was the owner and operator of Hellberg Nursery. He loved cooking, gardening and especially sharing his dill pickles.
Survivors include his wife Gail; his daughter Katherine and his son Karl; his father Robert Hellberg, Sr.; his sisters Barbara (John) Dinquel and Nancy (Jeff) Raes and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
