Robert "Bob" "Doc" L. Holliday, 84, of Sherrard, died October 12, 2009 at Hope Creek Care Center, East Moline.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009 at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., Orion. Burial will be in Sherrard Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association.
Bob was born April 28, 1925 in Ferris Falls, MN to Lester and Mary (Gould) Holliday. He married Evelyn Kropp on September 2, 1950.
Bob worked for 43 years in the Hydrostatic Transmission Room at Farmall retiring in 1986. He was a member of Sherrard Presbyterian Church. He served his country with the Army during WWII and was a bronze star recipient. He enjoyed gardening and running. He won the Bix 7 for his age group (60 years) bracket in the 1980's.
