Robert C. Kapple

Robert C. Kapple, 85, of Orion, passed away Friday February 3, 2023, at his home.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Orion. Per his wishes, cremation rites will take place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Robert was born on April 26, 1937, in Henry County, Illinois, the son of Swan Clair and Marie (Clark) Kapple. He married Carol Ann Peterson on August 30, 1956, in Orion. He was previously employed by Baker’s Dairy in Moline, as a machine operator and repairman, retiring after forty years. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Orion. Bob enjoyed being outdoors gardening, fishing and hunting. He also liked scrapping for metal. Above all, he loved the time he spent with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Carol; children, John (Julie) Kapple, Jeff (Lisa) Kapple, Jim (Traci) Kapple; grandchildren, Trisha (Joseph) Contreras, Mike (Tara) Kapple, Jordan (fiancé Julie) Kapple, Kolton (fiancé Kaitlyn) Kapple, Eran Kapple, Dustin Kapple; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; siblings, Shirley (Jon) Smith, Rosa Lee (Larry) Seabloom, Jacquelyn Webb, Sandy (Virgil) Bultinck.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, John Webb.
