Robert G. Richardson, age 79 of Moline died Saturday, November 18, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline with military rites conducted by American Legion Post #246. Memorials may be made to Illinois Heart Fund or Kidney Foundation.
Robert was born May 1, 1927 in Centerville, IA the son of Everett and Marie (Sales) Richardson. He married Betty Kauzlarich on January 27, 1952 at St. Mary's Parish, Centerville.
Robert was employed as a military ordinance tank inspector at the Rock Island Arsenal for 32 years, retiring on April 30, 1982. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping, watching NASCAR and working on automobiles and other mechanical things.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; daughters, Cathy and son-in-law Chuck Gleason, Sherrard, IL ; Robin and son-in-law Bob Taylor, Huntington Beach, CA.; son, Steve and daughter-in-law Pat Richardson, Orion, IL.

Several nieces, nephews & cousins including special cousins, Lee VanderHayden & Joyce Scott both of Winter Haven, FL. & his special birthday buddy, Bill Byles of East Moline, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-brother Kenny & step-sisters Virginia & Ethel and his dog, Missy.
