Robert Ray Smith, age 64, of Moline, died Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Trinity Pathway Hospice, Bettendorf.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2009 at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island with military honors conducted by Moline American Legion Post #246. Visitation will be from 11:30-12:30 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue. Moline. Procession to the cemetery will leave around 12:30 p.m.
Bob was born July 27, 1945 in Alton, IL, the son of Melville C. and Eva Sue (White) Smith.
Bob retired as a scheduler for the seeding division at Deere & Company after more than 28 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Bob was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Moline. He also was a member of the Moline Jaycees and the Moline Elks. Bob was an avid golfer and fisherman
