Robert VanBruwaene, 70, of Moline, IL, died Sunday, June 19, 2016, at UnityPoint Health – Trinity Moline, Moline, IL.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2016, at National Cemetery at the Rock Island Arsenal. Those wishing to attend the services should meet at 1 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the family.
Robert was born on January 25, 1946, in Rock Island, IL, the son of Robert and Lorraine Rasmussen VanBruwaene. He was a veteran, having proudly served in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Moline American Legion and the East Moline VFW. Robert liked to play pool and go fishing.
Survivors include his brother, Dave VanBruwaene; several children and grandchildren; special friends, Donna and Don.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
