Robert L. Watters, 99, of Coal Valley, IL, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at First Evangelical Free Church, 3321 7th Street, Moline. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens where military honors will be performed by Moline American Legion Post #246. Memorials may be made to First Evangelical Free Church or to Wycliffe Bible Translators.
Robert was born on July 4, 1913, in West Liberty, IA, the son of Fred and Nellie (Scott) Watters. He married Elizabeth "Betty" Chapman on August 15, 1938 in Davenport, IA. She preceded him in death on January 20, 1994. He worked as a Railway Mail Clerk for the United States Post Office. Robert was a member of First Evangelical Free Church.
