Roger N. Hamilton

Roger N. Hamilton, 77, of Orion, IL, died Monday, May 27, 2013, surrounded by his family at his daughter's home in Taylor Ridge, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 31, 2013, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301 4th Street Orion, IL. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery, Orion. Memorials may be made to the Rock Island County Animal Shelter.

Roger was born on November 22, 1935, in Moline, IL, the son of Truman Lyle and Margaret Ruth (Melin) Hamilton. From 1954 to 1956 he served in the United States Navy. For over 30 years, he worked in Sales & Service for Williams, White & Co., retiring in 1998. Roger was a member of the Orion V.F.W. and Valley View Country Club. He enjoyed golf and cars. Roger loved pets, especially his black lab, Jack. Most would say he never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Nathan Hamilton.
