Roger L. Hudson, 73, of Moline, IL, died Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at home.
Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and there will be no services. Memorials may be made to his family for a fund to be established. Esterdahl Mortuary& Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Roger was born on November 19, 1942, in Macomb, IL, the son of Jesse and Alberta Marlow Hudson. He married Pam Gamble on July 26, 1960, in Missouri. Roger worked at Blackhawk Foundry & Machine Co. in Davenport, IA for 50 years. He was the director of manufacturing. He worked part time at Menards in Moline for three years, last working on April 5, 2016.
Roger enjoyed time with his dog, Heidi, watching sports and fishing in Wisconsin.
Survivors include his loving wife, Pam; mother, Alberta Hudson; mother-in-law, Fern Deck; brother, Dan Hudson; daughter, Teresa (Owen) Owens; son, Brian (Gretchen) Hudson; 3 grandchildren; Warrant Officer, Ryan (Lauren) Denato, with whom he shared a special bond; Drew and Luke Hudson; 2 great grandchildren, Harper and Ryker Denato.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse.
