Roger H. Waeyaert

Roger H. Waeyaert, 77, of East Moline, died Thursday, February 1, 2018, at home.

A Celebration of life gathering will be Thursday, February 8, 2018, from 6-8 p.m., at The Old Palace Tavern, 701 15th Ave, East Moline.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Memorials may be made to the Rock Island County Animal Control.

Roger was born on December 26, 1940, in Moline, the son of Howard and Lillian Withrow Waeyaert.  He married Linda Paul Rodgers on December 4, 1993, in Rock Island.  Roger worked as a maintence painter at Augustana College.  Roger enjoyed bowling, playing the lotto, and watching sports.  He also enjoyed hanging out at Shannon's and The Old Palace Tavern with friends.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; children, Tim (Lisa) Waeyaert, Donna (Rob) Maxam, Debbie (Scott) Schneider, Kevin (Erica) Waeyaert; eight grandchildren; mother, Lillian Waeyaert; and sister, Donna Tasker.

He was preceded in death by his father.
