Ronald Lohse

December 8, 1939 — February 13, 2008

Ronald E. Lohse, 68, of Erie, died February 13, 2008 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island after a four-year battle with Multiple Myeloma.
Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Funeral services are 4 p.m. with additional visitation one hour prior Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the Erie Evangelical Free Church. Private burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (383 Main Ave. 5th Floor Norwalk, CT 06851), Erie Evangelical Free Church, or the American Cancer Society.
Ronald and his twin brother Donald were born December 8, 1939 in Moline to Elmer and Marie (Thee) Lohse. He married Karen E. Leonhard on June 25, 1961 at Immanual Lutheran Church in East Moline.
Ronald was a systems supervisor for Deere & Company in Moline in the Market Economics Department. He retired in 1997.
He was formerly a member of the Erie Rotary Club and Gideons International.He was a member of the Erie Evangelical Free Church and Faith Evangelical Free Church, Minocqua, WI. He spent many years on the church board in many capacities and was a Sunday School teacher.
