After an unbelievable struggle with cancer, Ronald L. Marshall, 63, a well known business man of Orion, IL died July 11, 2005 at his home.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2005 at Orion United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., Orion. Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Orion United Methodist Church, the Orion Fire Dept. or the American Cancer Society.
Ronald Lee Marshall was born July 8, 1942 in Geneseo, IL the son of George and Orlo (Johnson) Marshall. He married Marilyn Johnson in 1963. He later married Janet Anderson on January 1, 1984.
Ron and his wife, Janet are owners of Orion Field Tiling, Inc., Orion., and owned Larson Pump Company, Orion, from 1987-2001. Ron was a member of Orion Area Chamber of Commerce, Orion United Methodist Church, Illinois Land Improvement Contractors, Illinois Ground Water Association, and Main Street Orion. He was a volunteer fireman and assistant fire chief for many years.
Ron loved his work, and would do anything to make sure the job was done right for his customers.
