Rosalie J. Stoehr, age 92, of Moline, died Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Aspen Rehab & Health Care, Silvis.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at First United Presbyterian Church 801-16th Street, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Burial is at Moline Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Presbyterian Church Deacon's Memorial Fund.
Rosalie was born October 8, 1919 in Rock Island, the daughter of John "Jack" and Cecile Todd Williams. She married Robert N. Stoehr on April 5, 1941 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1994.
Rosalie was first employed as a secretary at Modern Woodmen of America in Rock Island, later at the Uptown National Bank in Moline, and retired as an assistant cashier at Coal Valley State Bank in 1986. She was a member of First United Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Deacon, Sunday school teacher, and in the Dorcas Circle and on the Mission's Committee. Rosalie loved her family and, above all, Her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Rosalie was an excellent seamstress, winning many contests. She was an avid reader, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing bridge.
