Rosamaria Rivera, 79, of Orion, passed away on August 3, 2017 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 on Monday, August 7, 2017 at Mary Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1410 10 Street, Orion. Visitation will be from 2-5 on Sunday with a Rosary recited at 4:45 at the church. Cremation rites will follow the mass and inurnment will be at a later date at the National Cemetery on the Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association. Kirk, Huggins and Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. is assisting the family.
Rosamaria was born on January 4, 1938 in Schoenwald, Bohemia the daughter of Josef and Maria Langer Glaser. She married Irving Rivera on March 4, 1962 in Ansbach, Germany.
Rosamaria was employed with the U.S. Bank as a Bank Jr. Officer for 20 years retiring in 2000. She graduated from the University of Merciburg with a degree in Business Management. Rosamaria enjoyed dancing, traveling and growing flowers. She was a very active member of the German American Family Club.
