Roseann Potter Parker, 88, of Moline, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at Silver Cross Health and Rehabilitation, Rock Island.
Due to a family illness, services for Roseann have been postponed. Memorials may be made to the Figge Art Museum, Vander Veer Botanical Park, or the Catfish Jazz Society.
Roseann was born on October 21, 1931, in Virden, Illinois, the daughter of Elbridge Gerry and Rosemond Day (Garvin) Potter. She married Darrell “Bud” Parker on August 2, 1958, at the Little Brown Church. They divorced in 1973. Roseann retired from administration at E.I. DuPont in 1992, after 41 years. She loved to be outdoors; gardening, hiking, and cross-country skiing. She was a patron of the arts and liked to spend her time listening to jazz music, reading and doing yoga. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, playing card games, and being with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Paula (Robert) Parker Schultz; grandchildren, Jonathan (Alex Cline) Goodell; great grandchildren, Amelia Cline and Myles Cline; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Potter Barkley, Gerry Potter, Richard Potter, Arion Potter.
