Ruby I. Armstrong

Ruby Irene Armstrong, 90, a resident of Oak Glen Home, Coal Valley, died Friday, December 14, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2007 with a visitation one hour prior at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.
Ruby was born July 27, 1917 in Buffalo Lake, MN the daughter of Palmer and Hazel (Barney) Lutrell. She married William "Wick" Armstrong January 20, 1938 in Davenport, IA. He preceded her in death on July 31, 1986.
She graduated from Rock Island High School. Ruby was an accomplished bowler in the Quad Cities area. After her husbands death she worked for Dr. Ralph Ade. She loved animals, fishing, gardening, playing bingo and was a 'die hard' Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings fan. She was a loving mother and devoted to her family.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bill Lutrell and son-in-law Dave Dittman.
