Russell F. Gustus, 96 of Moline died May 16, 2006 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 19, 2006 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island with military honors conducted by American Legion Post #246. Memorials may be made to Beacon of Hope Hospice.
Russell was born October 10, 1909 in Moline to Fred and Hilda (Sanburg) Gustus. He married Nellie Park on April 5, 1947 in Moline. She preceded him in death on January 31, 2003.
Russell was a WWII Army veteran.
Russell was a supervisor for 10 years for Miller Container retiring in 1978.
Russell was a member at First Christian Church, Moline for over 60 years where he served as a former deacon and elder of the church.
