Ruth S. Baldwin, 77, of Moline, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at her home.
Visitation will be from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2020, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m., Thursday at the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal, with procession leaving the funeral home at 2 p.m. for the graveside. Memorials may be made to New Hope Church.
Ruth was born on January 31, 1942, in Moline, the daughter of Willian J. and Sylvia (Gray) Bryan. She married Raymond C. Baldwin on December 27, 1961, in Farmington, IL, and he preceded her in death on March 15, 2018. She previously worked as a waitress at Al’s Confectionery. Ruth was a member of New Hope Church in Moline. Her ministry and passion was writing poems which she shared with her friends. She enjoyed baking pies with her church friends, working around the yard and tending to her flowers and garden. Above all she loved the Lord and to be with her family.
Survivors include her sons, Bill Baldwin, Moline, IL, Jim (Jessica) Baldwin, St. Louis, MO, Mike Baldwin, Moline, David (Amanda) Baldwin, Moline; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, half-sister, and two nieces.
