Ruth M. Cresswell, 95, of Moline, died peacefully on March 15, 2008 at her home.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2008 with a visitation one hour prior at Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the church. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. is assisting the family.
Ruth was born January 14, 1913 in Aledo, IL to Thomas Elmer and Edna Mary (Burgess) Lingafelter. She married Victor Cresswell on May 11, 1935 in East Moline. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1969.
Ruth was a member for over 58 years at Christ United Methodist Church, where she was very active in the women's circle of the church. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, was known to be a good storyteller and wrote poetry.
