Ruth Ellen Webb

Ruth Ellen Webb, 83, of Silvis, passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Illini Restorative Care, Silvis.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2021, at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd., Moline.  Visitation will be 1-hr. prior at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Hampton Township Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Ruth was born on June 4, 1938, in East Moline, the daughter of Clarence and Dorothy Elisabeth Mae (Phelps) Cox.  She married Thomas Webb on February 4, 1966, in East Moline.  Ruth worked as a housekeeper for Illini Hospital.  Ruth was a former member at Moline Gospel Temple.  She loved cooking for her family and keeping up her home.  Ruth’s greatest joy was simply being with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Tom; daughters, Brenda (Randy) Hawley, Renae (Wade) Harroun; grandchildren, Jason (Luisana) Haggard, Michael Hendricks, Rachael Frizzell, Ashley Hendricks, Levi Harroun, Sarah Harroun, 9 great grandchildren, and brother Raymond (Maryellen) Cox.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dorothy Stewart “Dottie”, siblings, Robert Cox, Donald Cox, Betty Marks, and Joann Chaney.
