Ruth Marie Elizabeth Martin

Ruth Marie Elizabeth Martin, age 89, of Rock Island, died Friday, June 1, 2007 at St. Anthony's Continuing Care Center, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 10:00-11:00 a.m.prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial is in Rock Island Memorial Park.
Ruth was born September 14, 1917 in Moline, the daughter of Carl Herman and Anna E. (O'Dean) Vaner. She married Richard F. Martin on June 24, 1939 in Moline. He preceded her in death on January 23, 1969.
Ruth was employed as a secretary at Montgomery Elevator for 26 years retiring in 1975. She was a graduate of Moline High School. Ruth was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline. She was very active in Kings Daughters, and the K M Group. Ruth enjoyed fishing with her daughter and grandkids, and spending time with her animals.
