Ryan was born in Rock Island, Il on October 18, 1974, to parents Kim L Pauley and Jean (Hamlin) Pauley.
He passed on Friday, August 19th, 2022, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Il, as the result of an accident at his home. Ryan was a gentle and loving soul.
Ryan graduated from Moline High School in 1993 and worked for the Rock Island Dispatch until 2015.
Ryan obsessed over NFL football, loved photography, chatting with family, animals, pedicures and spending time with his beloved sister, Jennifer. He was able to attend the Super Bowl in 2005 and Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH in 2022.
Ryan’s survivors include his cat, Missy, Sister Jennifer L Pauley and St. Bernard, Eiger of Galesburg, Il.
Ryan had a special place in his heart for survivors: grandmother, Sherrie Hawker-Pauley, aunts Danielle Pauley Carter, Joni (Tom) Baumberger, Debbie Hamlin, Donna Pauley; uncles Rick Hamlin and Skip Pauley, cousin Trey Pauley, brother-in-law Paul Meinert and family Alicia, Kennedy and Emily, and lifelong friend Susan McCollough as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ryan was preceded in death by his parents, brother Eric Pauley, grandparents, Aunt Robin Hamlin, Uncles Lynn and Kenneth Pauley, Melvin the Rabbit and many family pets.
Ryan departed the world a hero by giving life to others through organ and tissue donations.
Celebration of Life will be held at the Quad City Botanical Center in Rock Island, Il on September 7, 2022, between 5-7pm. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite sports attire.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
