Rylan Daniel Foster

Rylan Daniel Foster, beloved son of Daniel and Sarah Foster, was born on May 7, 2008. He was 7lbs. 3 oz. On July 30, 2012 he passed away in the arms of his loving parents at 2:45 a.m. at the St. Louis Children's Hospital after fighting to accept a heart transplant. Before passing his family surrounded him with love and comforting memories of his life. He was the strongest boy who went into the fight of his life swinging. Sadly, he did not win.
Already, by age 4, it was undeniable that Rylan lived with an incredible zest for life that could not be diminished by his recent experiences. He was a courageous and determined fighter, yet a very sweet and loving boy, who always had a smile and hug for daddy and mommy. Rylan had beautifully big brown eyes and loved mowing grass, playing baseball, and going to local sporting events with his daddy. He also loved his Orion TLC preschool classes, joking around, wrestling, riding his bike, catching frogs, cooking, swimming, and especially playing with his big sister, Emmalyn (8) and his little brother, Bryson (2). He was also one of Buzz Lightyear's biggest fans, "To Infinity, and Beyond!" Rylan's sense of humor brightened all of our lives.
To know Rylan was to love Rylan. He will be missed by all!!
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 6, 2012 at Heritage Wesleyan Church, 4801 44th Street, Rock Island, where he was a member and dedicated to God in May of 2009. A visitation for Rylan will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery, Orion. Memorials may be made to Rylan Foster Benefit Fund at any Black Hawk State Bank location.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the hospitals and staff of St. Louis Children's in St. Louis, MO, and St. Francis Children's in Peoria, IL. The family would also like to thank the CaringBridge family who helped them through the difficult times.
