Sadie Frederiksen Oaks, 90, of Moline, died October 14, 2009 at Heartland Healthcare Center, Moline.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church, Moline or a charity of choice.
Sadie was born January 21, 1919 in East Moline to Dane and Jelena (Pokrajac) Ligino. She married John Frederiksen on February 26, 1944 in Moline. He preceded her in death on June 19, 1968. She later married Leo Oaks. He preceded her in death on September 12, 1986.
Sadie made a loving home for her family. She also managed the Kings Daughters Thrift Shop in downtown Moline. She was an active lifetime member of Calvary Lutheran Church. She was a member of Oakwood Country Club and Moline Garden Club. She enjoyed golf, crafts, gardening, playing bridge and bowling where she placed 3rd in City Bowling Tournament.
