Sara J. Short, 77, of East Moline, died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Heartland Health Care Center, Moline.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2008, with visitation one hour prior at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Memorials may be made to the Family.
Sara was born August 26, 1930 in Moline, the daughter of Elza M. and Lydia (Shunk) Shull. She married William Short on June 14, 1947 in East Moline. He preceded her in death in December 2006.
Sara enjoyed spending time with loved ones. She was a nurse's aid, who was an in home caregiver. She also enjoyed working with the seniors at Green Rock Senior Center. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline. Sara also liked to quilt, sew, play cards and bingo.
