Scharon Marie Hansen, age 71, of Moline, died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at her home
Visitation will be at 10 AM and services will be at 11 AM Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Interment will follow the services at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Society of St. John Evangelist or The Humility of Mary Shelter.
Scharon, the youngest of eight children, was born in Moline on November 15, 1940 to Henry & Orpha Jennings.
Scharon attended Trinity Bible College. She worked for Deere & Company as an Administrative Assistant in World Wide Logistics. She retired in 2001 after 29 years of service. In her retirement, Scharon , volunteered for many organizations to name a few; Heartland Hospice, Montessori School and Red Cross.
Scharon's son, Mathew, was the joy and light of her life. Mathew's love of nature inspired Scharon as a gifted artist. She loved music, nature and God's creations, especially her little dog, Punk'n.
Survivors include her sisters, Bea Almquist, Thelma Meneses and Eilene Shaw, her brothers, Eugene Jennings and Ted Jennings, and many adoring nieces and nephews. Those who have preceded her in death; her son Mathew Hansen; parents; sister; Evelyn Johnson and brother; Melvin Jennings.
