Sharon Anderson
October 22, 1941 — July 6, 2016
Sharon L. Anderson, of North Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Port Byron, IL, passed away peacefully Friday, July 01, 2016, at Heartland Health Care in Fort Myers, FL, after a lengthy illness. She was 74.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2016, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2016, at the funeral home. Per her wishes cremation rites have been accorded and burial of cremains will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to her family.
Sharon was born on October 22, 1941, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Peter F. and Agnes E. Neufcour. She married Dennis Anderson on October 8, 1960, in East Moline, IL, and he preceded her in death on October 3, 2002.
Sharon loved spending time with her family and friends and was a wonderful cook. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her son, Kevin Anderson, North Fort Myers, FL; daughters, Denise Chambers, Sherrard, IL, and Amy (Tim) Anderson-Carr, Muscatine, IA; grandchildren, Lauren (John) Smith, Las Vegas, NV, Ryan (Amy) McCormick, Bettendorf, IA, and Arden (Ali) Dillann, Bloomington, IL; great grandchildren, Brayden, Dylan, Logan, and Evangeline.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her loving husband of 39 years, Dennis Anderson; sister, Jean Parsons; and son-in-law, Brad Chambers.
