Sharon L. Dinneen, 70, of Rock Island, IL, died Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 14, 2013, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Quad City Animal Welfare Center in Milan, IL.
Sharon was born on December 8, 1942, in Moline, IL, the daughter of George and Lena (Reddick) Reed. She married James Dinneen on April 6, 1996, in Rock Island, IL.
Sharon worked in the Finance Department for the City of Rock Island. She loved donating to the local animal shelters and loved being with her family. Sharon was always there with an open heart and was a loyal and loving wife. She was a terrific mother and the perfect (favorite) aunt. Sharon was a very active person and even with her limitations she enjoyed traveling to California and living life to the fullest. Sharon loved Christmas. It was her favorite time of the year. She collected snowmen and loved Elvis Presley. She loved shopping with her favorite niece and favorite daughter-in-law, going to yard sales, playing cards and going to the casino.
