Sharon McFarlin, 70, of East Moline, IL, passed away Monday, January 21, 2019, at home.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 25, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1330-13th St. Moline. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, 6601 38th Ave, Moline. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church and the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network.
Sharon was born on October 11, 1948 in Geneseo, IL, the daughter of Leslie E. Conrad and Roberta C. (Newman) Conrad. She received her master’s degree in Business Administration from St. Ambrose. She was employed by B.E. Smith as a nurse and an emergency room service consultant. She retired in 2016 after more than 35 years in nursing. She was an avid member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was also the treasurer for WELCA, Women of the ELCA. She was a passionate Chicago Cubs fan, and also enjoyed reading and traveling.
Survivors include her significant other, Tom Durbin, East Moline; son, James Coulter, Silvis, IL, daughters, Jennifer (Rick) Moulton, Clearwater, FL, Joanne (John) Barrera, Chicago, IL; granddaughter, Hailey Coulter (fiancé, Ryan Greene), Silvis; brother, Joel (Vickie) Conrad, Geneseo, IL; two nephews; and her wonder dog, Buffy.
