Sharon Lee Richter

Sharon Lee Richter, 80, of East Moline, passed away Tuesday October 8, 2024, at her home.

Private services will be held at the Rock Island National Cemtery. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice or Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline, is assisting the family.

Sharon was born on May 31, 1944, in Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of Lynn W. and Maxine J. (Patters) Cottrell. She married Nicholas Walter Richter on July 7, 1962. Sharon had worked as a server at Bishop’s Buffett at Duck Creek Plaza in Bettendorf. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary F.O.E in Dubuque and was involved in Scouts when her children were younger.

Survivors include her husband, Nick; son, Brian (Julie) Richter, East Moline, Brenda (Kenneth) Brown, Bettendorf; grandchildren, Bradley Brown, Nicole (Anthony) Pollino, Alecia Richter, Courtney Richter; bonus grandchildren, Kenneth (Nicole) Brown, Justine Brown, Shelby Walker, Drake Walker; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Dennis (Cindy) Cottrell, Dubuque, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard Cottrell.
