Sheila Camplin, 52 of Moline, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 25, 2005 at Rosewood Care Center, Moline, after a 3 ? year struggle with cancer.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1-4 p.m. with a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Gilda's Club, Davenport. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gilda's Club, American Cancer Society, New Kingdom Trailriders or a favorite charity. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory is assisting the family.
Sheila loved children and had worked as an early childhood educator and as a family and children's social worker. During her last years, she was a very active volunteer at Jane Addams Elementary School helping to organize a turtoring program for students.
Her interests included art, horseback riding and gardening. Throughout her battle with cancer, Sheila was an inspiration to many people and was a dedicated mother to Jaime.
She is dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her husband, Don McLean, and their daughter Jaime. She also will be missedc by her sister, Marion; brothers, Willis and Keith; mother-in-law, Barb and Jan; and many nieces, nephews and her dear friends both in the Quad-Cities and Canada. Sheila was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Bertha Camplin, and her brother, Gerald.
