Sheila "Joyce" Joyce Otis, 86, of Kewanee, died Sunday, May 15, 2011 at her residence.
Private family services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Quad City Law Enforcement Memorial Fund or to the Henry County Humane Society. Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. is assisting the family with arrangements.
Joyce was born on April 30, 1925 in Annawan, to Stanley M. and Greta L. Moore Ringel. She married Earl E. Talbot in 1949 in Springfield. They later divorced. She then married Quentin L. Otis in August 1971 in Mt. Carroll. He preceded her in death in 1981.
Joyce graduated from Annawan High School in 1943. She was a farmer and worked on the assembly line at International Harvester from 1963 - 1974. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and the old Rock Island River Boat.
