Shirley Jean Baker, age 83, of Moline, died Friday, October 14, 2011 at her residence.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial is at National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal.
Shirley was born July 21, 1928 in Moline, the daughter of Carl and Madeline DeVolder Stolnacke. She married Henry Baker on November 8, 1947 in Moline. He preceded her in death on February 11, 1995.
Shirley was a member of First Covenant Church in Moline. She was also a member of the Moline Legion Auxiliary, the Clara Lodge #118 I.O.V., the Friends Circle, the Viking Club of Moline, and a former member of the East End Bolder Club. Shirley enjoyed roller skating and going to the gambling boats.
