Shirley Mae Hofstetter, 83 of Moline passed away January 31, 2010 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010 at Peace Lutheran Church in Port Byron. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd, 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Burial will be in Friedens Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church.
Shirley was born on January 5, 1927 in Hampton, IL the daughter of John and Edith Glazier Hofstetter.
Shirley was employed as a personnel director at Deere and Company for over 40 years. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Port Byron.
Survivors include her sister Margaret Weller of Moline; nephews Kenneth (Marilyn) Hofstetter, Aiken, SC, Steve (Linda) Hofstetter, Osage Beach, MO, Dan (Kathy) Shoemaker, Des Moines, IA, John (Eunice) Shoemaker, Durham, NC and niece Cathy (Gary) Bonta, Victoria, TX ; many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her niece Linda Schurvinski; her brother Glen Hofstetter and her sister Georgia Shoemaker.
