Shirley Jean Lofgren, age 82, of Moline, died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Trinity, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial is in Riverside Cemetery, Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Moline.
Shirley was born February 19, 1928 in Moline, the daughter of Vern and Lydia (Koenig) Lofgren.
Shirley was Secretary and Treasurer for the Coopman Construction Company. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Moline, and sang for many years at the Christian Science Church in Davenport. Shirley was also a member of Women in Construction for 35 years, the Pilot Club, and Clara Lodge #118 Independent Order of Vikings in Moline. Music was a very important part of her life. Shirley was very close with her nieces and nephews, and always did special things with them.
