Shirley E. Moldovan, 84, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Walcott, IA, died Saturday, September 3, 2011 in Florida.
Funeral Services will be 12 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Ave., Moline, with a visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Church of Christ Scientist, 2100 Main Street, Sarasota, FL 34237.
Shirley was born April 3, 1927, in York, Alabama, the daughter of Ernest and Mary Bernadine Keiser Vaughn. She married George Moldovan on August 13, 1944, in Clinton, IA.
She was a member of the Christian Science Church and Vice President of the Laborer's Union at the Red Jacket/Marley Pump. She loved her time in Florida, especially her time with her great grandson, Tyler. Her family was her life.
