Shirley Irene Seaman, 74, of Colona passed away November 1, 2010 at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 3rd, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38 Ave., Moline. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 4th, 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow services. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established.
Shirley was born on July 7, 1936, in Richland Center, Wisconsin the daughter of Clifford and Leona Bowen Miller. She attended schools in Richland Center and graduated from Hillsboro High School. She married G. William "Bill" Seaman on September 3, 1955 at First Congregational Church in Hillsboro, Wisconsin.
Shirley was formerly employed at the University of Madison Hospital as a receptionist in the student infirmary. Upon starting a family she became a homemaker. She attended Christ Church in Colona and was involved in church and Christian organizations. She also enjoyed plants, flowers, crafts, ceramics, needlepoint, word games and traveling around the U.S. to visit family. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog Boomer.
