Stanley Thomas Rynott, 79, of Moline, died September 8, 2008 at University Hospitals in Iowa City.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post #246. Memorials may be made to the church or to the Bix Biederbecke Jazz Society.
Stan was born July 4, 1929 in Rock Island, IL to Stanley and Louise Wiggins Rynott. He married Donna Darting on January 13, 1951 in Wilton, IA.
Stan owned and operated an insurance agency for 40 years retiring in 1994.
Stan was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Moline. He was a lover of jazz and Dixie land music. He was a member of the Catfish Jazz Society and the Bix Biederbecke Jazz Society. He was also a member of the Moline American Legion Post #246 where he proudly served on the honor guard as the bugler. He enjoyed boating and his bulldogs. He loved his family and was crazy about his grandchildren.
