Stanley L. Weber

Stanley L. Weber, 64, of Orion, died December 11, 2006 at his home.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 15, 2006 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion. Visitaton will be Thursday from 2-8 p.m. at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. Orion. Burial will be in Western Township Cemetery, Orion. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion or to his family for a fund to be established.
Stanley was born May 16, 1942 in Geneseo, IL to Raymond Harold and Bessie June (Gradert) Weber. He graduated from Orion High School in 1960 and then attended drafting school. He married Doris Malmen on October 21, 1961 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion.
Stanley was employed as a carpenter for Richard Snow and Fred Kadel of Geneseo and Don Johnson of Moline. He was employed at John Deere. He drove truck for Harold Woolley and Dennis Carlson, he worked for Warkins "WEPI" in East Moline and also worked for Western Township. Stanley then began his love for farming for the next 38 years in Orion.
Stanley was member of St.Paul Lutheran Church. He was also a 4-H leader of Western Jr. Farmers 4-H Club for many years., FFA Alumnus, board member for Henry County ASC Committee. He enjoyed traveling, woodworking, dancing, coon hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He was always known for helping people when they were in need.
