Stella Falkinburg

Stella Falkinburg, age 95, of Moline, died Friday, November 5, 2010 at her home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial is at Moline Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the River Bend Food Pantry.
Stella was born July 11, 1915, in Silvis, the daughter of Steve and Pearl (Ligeno) Churuvia. She married James Falkinburg on April 6, 1941 in Moline. He preceded her in death on March 26, 1997.
In early years, Stella and her husband owned and operated Falkinburg Market. She later went to work as a clerk at the Rock Island County Clerks Office, retiring in 1977. Stella was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Rock Island. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, quilting and crocheting. Stella enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchild.
