Stephanie R. Anderson, 83, of Moline, IL, died Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity, Rock Island, IL.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 23, 2013 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation is from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at National Cemetery at Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Church or a charity of choice.

Stephanie was born on October 5, 1929, in Bethlehem, Pa. the daughter of Stephen and Elizabeth (Randall) Rashevich. She grew up in Gary, IN and graduated with a Music Education degree from Northwestern University. She married Richard Arthur Anderson on September 20, 1952 in Gary, IN. They were very involved in the early years of Quad City Music Guild and shared a lifelong passion of music with one another. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2008.

Stephanie was a respected music teacher for 35 years, working in Moline and Orion School districts, retiring from Orion in 1986. Even after her retirement, she continued to teach piano lessons as well as provide accompaniments to various programs. She was also an active member of the Moline Elks and P.E.O. Chapter I.S. Stephanie belonged to various card clubs; including the Alleman Marathon, 20th Century club, as well as meeting with friends on a regular basis to play Uno and 500.

There was never a doubt that her heart belonged to her family, as they were her pride and joy. She devoted her life to them as a caretaker and friend. Stephanie's faith was also very important to her. She was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church in Moline and rarely missed the weekly message.

Amanda (fiancee William) Seibert Moline
Alysse (Andrew) Hunter Palatine, IL
Lindsay (Seth) Zahniser Rancho Cucamonga, CA

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Stephen Rashevich.

The family would like to extend a special thanks for the compassionate care given by the staff at Friendship Manor/Silver Cross and UnityPoint Health-Trinity, Rock Island.
