Stephanie was born on December 7, 1973, in Moline, IL, the daughter of Jesse and Tilli Rivera Mendoza. . She worked as a trainer and line worker for Aleris in Davenport. Previously, she worked as an over the road truck driver.

Stephanie was a lover of so many things. She loved music, especially Jimmy Buffett, and often quoted her favorite movies. She loved riding her Harley-Davidson and traveling to Hawaii, Baltimore, and Chicago to visit her family. Stephanie was a collector of koozies, always making sure she had one or several for herself and all of those with her. She was a big fan of the Cubs, Bears, Iowa Hawkeyes, Texas Longhorns, and plain Chicago hot dogs.

More than anything, Stephanie loved her friends, family, and spending time with her nieces and nephews. Above all, she was a lover of life.
