Stephen Sottos, 86, of Orion, IL, died Friday, April 13, 2012, at his home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 1402 10thStreet, Orion. Visitation will be from 4-7 Monday with a rosary recited at 3:30 p.m. at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301 4 thStreet, Orion. Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Galesburg, with military honors being conducted by the Galesburg American Legion Post #285. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Mary, Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, where he was a member.
Stephen was born on November 8, 1925 in Galesburg, IL, the son of Andrew and Elsie McGuire Sottos.
He married Adelia Burrell on September 20, 1947 in Pontiac, Michigan. She preceded him in death on October 22, 2001.
Stephen was a U.S. Veteran serving with the Marines in the Central Pacific from 1943-1946. He began work with CB & Q Railroad. He then moved on to become manager at Kroeger from 1953-1975. He later worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for 15 years before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, 2 brothers, a sister, and a grandson, Michael.
