Steven J. Rhoades, 58, of Orion, IL, died Thursday, January 09, 2014, at UnityPoint Health - Trinity Rock Island, Rock Island, IL.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd. 1301 4th Street, Orion. Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Western Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established in his name at Bank Orion.
Steve was born on November 6, 1955, in Valley Forge, PA, the son of Charles and Greta (Ancil) Rhoades. He married Peggy Stiles on June 25, 1977 at Sacred Heart in Rock Island.
Steve worked as a service agent with National Car Rental for over 37 years. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye, Chicago Bears and Indy Car Series fan. Steve enjoyed motorcycle rides, hiking, fishing and time spent in the mountains. Above all, Steve loved his family.
