Sue C. Lambert, 77, of Orion, IL, died Monday, August 18, 2014, at Aspen Rehab & Health Care, Silvis, IL.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1001 9th Street, Orion. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2014, at Kirk, Huggins & Esterdahl Funeral Home, Ltd., 1301 4th Street, Orion. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and a graveside service will be held at McDowell Cemetery in Casco, MI, at a later date. It is Sue's wishes that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Orion, or to the Orion Lion's Club.
Sue was born on February 6, 1937, in South Haven, MI, the daughter of Ralph R. and Daisy W. Carr Hamlin. She married James Lambert at the Little Brown Church in June of 1982. For over 30 years, Sue worked as a real estate broker for Boeye Agency and later for Mel Foster Company.
Sue was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Orion, the Red Hat Club, and the first female member of the Orion's Lions Club. She was a former member of King's Daughters and the Orion Corn Cob Players. She also loved to volunteer for the Pie Fest Auction at the Orion Fall Festival.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert E. Hamlin.
