Sylvia Bell Kilcoin, age 87 of Rock Island, died Sunday, June 17, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center, West Campus, Rock Island.
Funeral services will be 11a.m.Thursday, June 21, 2007 with a visitation one hour prior to service time at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. 6601-38th Ave., Moline. Burial is in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
Sylvia was born July 17, 1919 in Rock Island, the daughter of William Edward and Ruth Elizabeth (Hemenway) Caulpetzer. She married James Martin Kilcoin on July 31, 1943 in Ottawa, IL. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1986.
Sylvia was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal for 21 years as the secretary to the Commander of the Arsenal, retiring in April of 1962. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Moline, and a lifetime member of Oakwood Country Club.
