Sylvia J. Lofgren, 80, of East Moline, IL died Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Trinity Rock Island.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline. Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association Children's Asthma Camp.
Sylvia was born on December 25, 1931 in Davenport, IA the daughter of Duane C. and Alice V. (Brandt) Tomlinson and raised in Osco, IL. She graduated from Orion High School and then worked at Amitec Manufacturing in East Moline where she met her husband. She married Robert V. Lofgren on November 30, 1952 in Osco, IL. She volunteered at Illini Hospital gift shop for many years and later worked for almost 30 yearsas the owner and operator of The Added Touch Gifts in The Village of East Davenport. She was a member of King's Daughters as well as First Baptist Church in Moline. Sylvia loved crossword puzzles and was a basketball fanatic. She was a great Mother and Grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis, and a granddaughter, Jenna.
